Double Merrick is the nom de print of Merrick Angle, a British illustrator and designer who accidentally ended up in rural France. Drawing on a 100 years of ephemera, he weaves together various elements to make ‘scuzzy pop art’ that references classroom wall charts, 50’s science experiments, language textbooks, and children’s books.

Inspired by old classroom wallcharts, these prints from Double Merrick began life as an experiment in replicating old printing techniques, mixing the analogue and the digital, before they truly took on a life of their own.

These designs were screen printed by hand in three colours onto 270gsm off-white paper.
