Newish living room 
I painted the walls "smoke" by
Benjamin Moore just before Halloween [which sucked,
because I couldn’t decorate this year]. We also got
a new sofa, a new chair & lots of new art/posters that
are still waiting to be framed & hung, hence the funny
photoshop action. At least gives an idea of what it’ll
all look like in this area once the new posters are hung
& we finally put our Ikea shelf on the wall to display
some of my vintage camera collection

Redecorating Ideas

My friend Sheryl made the suggestion that I should make Aaron’s fantastic bachelor-pad thrift-store lamp the basis of our living room redecor. I agree, although Aaron’s first reaction was, "I don’t want to have an orange living room!"
Really, though. Look at that color palette! Those colors were all pulled straight off that lamp, with no tweaking. What an awesome collection of earth tones and calming neutrals.
I could really go for walls of that creamy color in the upper right, with a couch in some pattern of the brown colors, maybe, with accent throw pillows in the greens and oranges.
It’s been way too long since I got to watch HGTV. I must be having withdrawal. Knowing that painting the living room is in our near future is making me all a-flutter.
